2026 / 2027 Head Coaches
U12 – Darryl Arvai
Darryl grew up playing AAA in Southwestern Ontario before playing junior hockey across several levels for seven years, finishing in Ottawa after moving for university. Since 2017, he has coached players across many age groups most recently as the Head Coach of Ottawa Sting U11AA team. Darryl strongly believes in fostering a lifelong passion for athletics, viewing skill development, hard work and fun as key elements for building great hockey players and even better humans.
U13 – Michael De Lisio
Michael De Lisio returns as the Head Coach of the 2014 cohort Ottawa Jr. 67s team at U13. Mike grew up playing AAA in the Niagara region going on to play junior for several years before finishing his career in USports with Queen’s University. Since 2007, he has coached players in both Canada and in the USA ranging from IP to U16 AAA. He aims to create an environment where players are excited to play and enjoy their time on the ice, with an emphasis on development, work ethic, competition and teamwork.
U14 - Kyle Ward
A Sackville, New Brunswick native, Kyle fell in love with hockey early, joining the Moncton AAA hockey programs and being selected by the Saint John Sea Dogs in the QMJHL Draft. He represented his province and country at elite events, including the World U17 Hockey Challenge, and won multiple championships—two Jr. A titles with Dieppe and Edmundston, and a QMJHL championship with Saint John, earning a Memorial Cup berth. Kyle continued his career at the University of Ottawa, competing with the Gee‑Gees and at a U Sports National Championship. After graduating, he began coaching with the U15 Lady Jr. 67’s and has spent the past two seasons with the Jr. 67’s U13 and U14 programs. Kyle brings a growth‑minded, accountability-driven approach focused on compete, teamwork, and a positive culture. He is committed to helping players thrive on and off the ice.
U15 - Jamie Smith
Jamie Smith is an accomplished hockey coach with over 15 years of experience in the Ottawa area, including eight consecutive seasons as a Head Coach at the AAA level within the Ottawa Jr. 67’s program. Most recently, he completed the 2025–2026 season as Head Coach of the U16 AAA team, continuing a track record of building competitive, high-performing teams across multiple age groups (U13–U18). Throughout his tenure, his teams have captured HEO AAA Championships, Regular Season titles, and earned Provincial representation, along with multiple tournament championships and finalist finishes.
U16 - Dylan Sharpley
Dylan grew up playing hockey in the Nepean area, and later the Perth Blue Wings, which included a championship win in the 2018–19 season. Moving from player to coach, he began as the Head Coach for Nepean Raiders in 2021–22 and 2022–23, growing with the U14 AA and U15 AA teams. In 2023–24 and 2024–25, he led the U12 AAA and U13 AAA teams for Ottawa Myers Automotive, leading the path to a championship victory in his first year with the team. Most recently, Dylan led the U14 Jr. 67s program, highlighted by qualification for the OHL Cup. Dylan believes that hard work, resiliency, a strong team culture, and being a great teammate are the foundations of success.
